Over 34 years of experience in conducting international business, marketing and promotion for domestic and international strategic metals businesses. Conceived, developed and executed domestic and global sales strategies/promotions from conceptual stages to final development of operational sales organization. Extensive domestic and international travel experience in over 40 countries promoting U.S. metals mill products and casting services by opening new markets and establishing distributorships. Excellent communication skills, successful manager of international agents and a skilled negotiator in closing the deal.

10/1/2010 – Present  Titanium Consulting Services, D.B.A. TODAYS METALS LLC. – October 2010 re-opened TODAYS METALS LLC, my titanium and strategic metals consultation/representation company. As Managing Director I have been involved in marketing / consultation projects for US companies while concurrently representing a major European / Russian Titanium Casting firm.
During the time frame I performed work for ATW (American Titanium Works) functioning as a sales and marketing consultant for a new titanium mini mill to be established in 2011 in South Carolina. Concurrently serving as the North American Sales Director for the Norwegian / Russian manufacturer of titanium castings, AEROTitanium AS, as their sales and marketing arm for titanium castings to the pulp and paper, chemical process, mining and oil and gas industries.

2/2010 – 10/2010 Hi-Tech Welding & Forming
V.P. Marketing/Sales
In this position I was responsible for developing new customers and markets as well as servicing the existing customer base of Hi-Tech Welding and Forming, Inc. Responsibilities included working with major government sub-contractors and major USA military accounts such as the US Navy, US Coast Guard and US Army. I was responsible for gathering information, obtaining customer approvals and working to have Hi-Tech Welding approved as a small business supplier to major accounts. I was successful in having Hi-tech welding approved at numerous companies including Boeing, Goodrich, Bell Helicopter and Hawker Beech craft. I developed a marketing and sales strategy for the company, conducted numerous customer meetings throughout the United States to promote Hi-Tech Welding and attended numerous trade shows and conferences on Hi-Tech’s behalf. I was successful in developing new customers some of which are Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, the US Navy as well as the US Coast Guard. While working at Hi-Tech Welding and Forming, I developed a working knowledge of super plastic forming, EB Welding and various fabrication techniques.

Created TODAYS METALS LLC. and worked as an independent consultant to the titanium and metals industries. Worked and consulted with various companies in sales and marketing roles to the titanium industry. Performed market studies and represented a major Norwegian / Russian casting company in North America.

1996 – May 2009 ATI Wah Chang
Sales Mngr, Business Dev. Castings
Served as the appointed Business Development / Casting Sales Manager for the recently merged Oremet Titanium and Wah Chang. Grew a struggling casting business from 2.5 million dollars to 30 million dollars in a very competitive world wide market. Achieved sales success through judicious cultivation. and or selection of international business savvy agents and representatives, creating new markets, applications and global recognition for the Wah Chang brand. Also consistently met Wah Chang mandated personal achievement goals, to include new customer development, quarterly sales goals, safety goals and the promotion of Wah Chang business capabilities via presentations, speeches and papers at domestic and international industry specific conferences. Further responsibilities included development and maintenance and satisfying existing customer data base, and profit and loss reporting for my division. Customer relations were fortified with frequent visits employing customer Q and A at all meetings, whereby I could assist with immediate problem areas and discern customers’ potential needs resulting in new business for Wah Chang. Intimate familiarity with the following markets I serviced: acetic acid, aerospace, chemical processing, commercial marine, defense, mining, pulp and paper and US Navy. Key clients included ITT Corporation, Flowserve Corporation, General Dynamics, US Navy, Titanium Fabrication Corporation, Curtiss Wright Corporation and HiTech Welding.
Successfully represented Wah Chang at numerous international trade shows to include Achema, Eurosatory, NACE, New York Chemical Processing Show, ASNE and AUSA, where I cultivated leads and business opportunities for other divisions of Wah Chang.
Based upon my in depth product performance understandings and finely tuned interpersonal skills I was effective in helping both our domestic and international sales representatives promote, sell and close the deal.

May 1988 - 1996 Oremet Titanium
Eastern Regional Sales Manager
Solely responsible for booking, maintaining and growing the regions’ business from $30 million dollars to $60 million dollars until the time of the merger between Oremet and Wah Chang. The sales territory covered Ontario and Quebec, Canada as well as the USA Eastern seaboard and Gulf states Achieved corporate sales and business development goals through extensive travel throughout Canada and the Eastern Coast of the United States creating customer trust and loyalty. Sold titanium sponge, ingot, plate, bar, billet and castings to the aerospace, defense, fabrication and distributor markets and machine shops. My customer network included such notables as Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, Wyman Gordon Forgings, NF&M, President Titanium, Titanium Industries, Titanium Fabrication Corporation, Lawrence Aviation, Newport News Shipbuilding and The United States Navy.

Regional Sales Manager
Based upon my performance skills and successes achieved as Regional Sales Manager in recruiting, selling and deal brokering for key accounts on the East Coast of the USA, Ontario and Quebec, Canada, I was soon recruited by Oremet Titanium. My responsibilities at Titanium and Alloys Corporation included customer development in sales for the following products: titanium bar, billet, plate, sheet, tubing, pipe, fittings and fasteners.

International Sales Manager
Impressive track record with career development steps from Sales Representative to Assistant Domestic Sales Manager to International Sales Manager. Domestic sales responsibilities included new customer development, customer satisfaction spawning timely quotations and booking orders. Won clients’ trust based upon sales performance, product knowledge and product integrity. As International Sales Manager, developed a system of worldwide agents for Titanium Industries and was simultaneously responsible for supplying titanium metals to our overseas fabrication divisions and to our resale operations in the U.K, Brazil, South Africa and Canada. Hired sales assistants and evaluated their results. Responsible for all territorial changes, prepared all sales forecasts and responsible for customer satisfaction in receiving prompt quotations for materials and insured that my department’s sales and performance goals and objectives were met.
